Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is wholesome (useful, good-not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant) and My burden is light and easy to be borne. Matthew 11:28-30
We do not have to carry the weight of sin, difficulties, trouble. Jesus says, “Give it to me, I will carry it.” He is gentle, He is gracious. He is not a God that is up there “cracking the whip” when we do something wrong. He wants us to learn from Him, follow Him and do things as He does. When we do, we will find rest, resting in Him. When we carry the weight of the yoke ourselves, that is when it becomes heavy and burdensome. He wants to carry it. He wants us to do as He does.
