Raise The Rod Of God

Many battles are fought and won by intercession, raise the rod of God! We often take the fight into our own strength, our own strategies, rather than lifting up our hands in intercession and letting the Lord make war on our enemies. How many of us intercede in prayer until we are exhausted and keep going. I would say most have no idea as to what that is like. Yet that is how battles are fought and won.

Intercede until you are weary, tired, and exhausted, with now words to say. Then begin to allow your spirit to go into intercession, pray in your prayer language and push it through. I have watched for years as I have seen my wife do this time and time again. Crying out in the mid-watch when others are sleeping and resting. Praying in tongues till all she could do was lay prostrate before a Holy God on the floor of her prayer room. She has seen many victories, heard many answers, and given many revelations. That is a warrior! I am learning, that is a true helpmate, I am thankful.

Take Action

“Then came Amalek [descendants of Esau] and fought with Israel at Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, Choose us out men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand. So Joshua did as Moses said and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the hilltop. When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and when he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy and grew weary. So [the other men] took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua mowed down and disabled Amalek and his people with the sword.”
