The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom/what shall I fear?

We get so busy taking care of all of the daily requirements: work, mom duty, wife duty, chef, taxi driver, not to mention cheerleader at sports events, nurse, and many other titles, and sometimes it just “wears on us.” We feel overwhelmed, then we get stressed, become short with our families and just want to get away from it all. However, we must remember, who is paving the way for us to walk out our pathway.

Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom/what shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom what shall I be afraid?”

He is our light…He directs us. We can’t see in the dark, and this world is dark, so we need His light to direct us. He is our salvation – (deliverance, safety, rescue, welfare, prosperity, victory)

He is our stronghold (place or means of safety, protection, harbour, refuge)
In everything that we must accomplish just to finish the day, not to mention things that come our way that we aren’t even prepared for, He is protecting us, He is rescuing us, He is giving us victory, He is keeping us safe. All we have to do is lean into Him. If we try to fix it and finish it on our own, we will end up in a worse mess than when we started.

We all know the scripture II Corinthians 12:9..”My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Sufficient – to be enough, to ward off, to be strong, content.

Perfect – to carry through completely, to be found perfect, to bring to an end, finish
Let Him give us the grace to complete the task THROUGH HIM. He knows better than us how to get us through every circumstance…no matter what it is. Give it to Him. Trust Him with it.
